Our Mission

Sweetland Rush is a creative media project based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We publish stories and studies in human ecology—inviting reflection around our rights and responsibilities as planetary citizens.

By integrating ecological literacy with the creative arts, we help communities navigate the complexities of today’s local and global challenges with empathy, evidence, and agency.

Our work operates across four core pillars:

Research: We trace the evolution of creative change movements, uncovering new pathways for cultural transformation.

Education: We foster dialogue around human and natural systems, enriching the language and practice of eco-literacy.

Outreach: We share examples of regenerative living, nurturing physical, mental, and emotional pathways toward peace.

Engagement: We model social and environmental stewardship, inspiring the commitment required of future earthlings.

We contribute to this effort by offering the majority of our education and outreach resources for free and accessible use through Creative Commons licensing.
